Replacing Code Values in Look Up Tables


Use Replace to globally replace a drop-down code with a new one whenever it occurs in the Results database eliminating the need to manually edit every record in a data center where the value needs to be replaced.

 

To replace a Code:

 

1.       From the Setup Main Menu, in the Maintain Lookup Values Module group, point to the desired module and then select the Look Up Table you would like to modify. In our example, we selected Finances > Product Lines and PLANTS-001 from the list of current drop-down values.

         Select the Replace option from the Replace / Merge icon in the Toolbar of the data entry screen.

2.       Enter the new code in the New Value field in the Replace Primary Field dialog.

3.       Click Replace to change the code or Cancel.
